“Everyone else on Earth can turn their back on you, but never your dog,” as the saying goes. That is why dogs are referred to as man’s best friend. They will never abandon you and will always love you.

When AJ, a 6-year-old dog that has gone through thick and thin with his owner, was surrendered at Carson Animal Shelter in California with his other doggo brother, Tony, he was greatly disturbed.

The pitbull and Labrador Retriever mix appears to be devastated by the betrayal. AJ may be seen silently crying throughout the video.

As the dog realises the gravity of the situation, tears stream down his cheeks. AJ is trapped in an unusually frigid kennel and is well aware that he is unwanted.

AJ is described as an extremely lovely dog with ‘great energy’ by shelter staff. When he and his brother, Tony, entered the shelter, they were walking side by side, not knowing what was going to happen.

The shelter staff’s soothing voice attempts to calm the dog, but AJ continues to sob in despair and confusion.

According to Carson Animal Shelter’s Facebook page, both AJ and Toby have been abandoned: “My former family who owned me for had to give me up because they couldn’t afford the care I need.”

Many people have volunteered to adopt AJ and give him the home he deserves since the video went viral. The adored AJ has gone from tears to grins.

A good family adopted AJ and Tony together in February so they wouldn’t be separated.

So, when you adopt a dog, make certain that you are entirely dedicated to them and that you will never give them up! We pray that no other dogs have to go through what AJ and Toby have.
