The intruder surreptitiously breached the sanctity of the home, but it wasn’t until hours later that Picky was discovered, his fragile frame ensnared between the sharp tines of the pitchfork. With urgency, he was whisked away to an emergency veterinary clinic where dedicated veterinarians embarked on a race against time to save his life.
Upon arrival at the veterinary facility, doctors were met with a harrowing sight – the pitchfork remained embedded in his body, having pierced through his spine, limb, and even one of his testicles. Thankfully, none of his vital organs had suffered harm from this lethal weapon.
The team at the Animal Center Pet Shop diligently shared updates on Picky’s condition on their Facebook page, detailing the gravity of the situation: “One of the pitchfork’s prongs had pierced from the spine to one testicle, and others had gone through his leg. Luckily, none of them had punctured a vital organ. After the surgery, we were waiting to see how he would react since the infection was really dangerous.”
This courageous soul spent an arduous week at the clinic, under constant watchful eyes, as veterinarians waged war against the looming threat of infection. Thankfully, triumph prevailed, and Picky was joyously reunited with his loving family at home.
After careful deliberation, the family decided to report the assailant to the police, seeking justice for their gallant Chihuahua.
